Parish Ministries

Altar Servers

Altar Servers are participants in the liturgy as they assist the priest by leading all ministers in procession preparing the altar and the sacred vessels and helping the the priest with the Eucharist. All children who received their First Communion are eligible.

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist the priest with the reverent sharing of the Body and Blood of Christ during Communion. As such, they are mature in faith and show love and reverence for the Eucharist. Contact: parish office.

Lectors

Lectors are appointed to proclaim the Word of God in the liturgical assembly. A lector becomes a spokesperson for God, proclaiming God’s Word with passion & respect.

Liturgical Music / Choirs

Our choirs offers prayers by singing praises to Almighty God.
We offer various styles of music, you may join one of the choirs or more. Stop by the parish office for more information.

Sacristans

Prepare the worship space before the liturgies.

Ushers & Greeters

This ministry is open to all persons, 14 years of age and older, who enjoy warmly greeting worshipers, finding them a seat, taking collections and guiding people to communion stations. Ushers may also lend assistance to those who are disabled. They clean the church after each service, providing a respectful and orderly liturgical environment for the next celebration. Faith Formation – Catechists

Becoming Catholic / Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

RCIA is a process of formation through which adults become Catholic and enter into the Catholic faith. It is also meant for those who were baptized but did not receive Confirmation or Eucharist. There are several rites and stages culminating with receiving the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion on Easter Vigil. Contact: parish office.

Cursillo/Ultreya

A Cursillo is an encounter with Christ. The Cursillo Movement is a method through which one’s spirituality will be developed, lived and shared.

Knights of Columbus

Catholic men’s organization whose purpose is charity, fraternity and unity in support of the pastor and the parish. The Knights meet on the first & fourth Monday of the month at 7:00pm

Young Ladies Institute (YLI)

An organization of Catholic Women dedicated to the Christian principles of charity and Love. YLI meets on every first Monday of the month

Saint Francis Xavier Food Pantry

The mission of this ministry is to help those who are less fortunate who might be struggling to feed their families. It also stocks the parish food pantry. This ministry is solely supported by parishioners; open Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1:30 pm – 3:00 p.m.

Altar Linens

The Purpose of this Society is to provide care of the vestments and upkeep of the altar linens. Their reverence for the altar, as the focal point of our liturgy is expressed through their care and concern of the liturgical environment. Please contact the Parish Office

Finance Council

This ministry is an advisory and consultative body to the Pastor on all fiscal matters. Members provide expertise and consultation by promoting sound fiscal planning and stewardship of parish funds. Please call the Parish Office

Grounds Keepers

This ministry was formed to maintain, improve and beautify our gardens so that the parish grounds are welcoming. All of the work is performed by dedicated volunteers, if you enjoy working with plants and flowers please consider joining us. Please call the Parish Office

Liturgical Environment

The mission of this ministry is to transform the church into a welcoming and serene place of worship using color, art and flowers. It is also responsible for changing the seasonal liturgical colors, banners and special décor for Christmas and Easter. Please call the Parish Office

Saint Francis Xavier Counters

Everything we have belongs to God. We are stewards of God’s grace and God’s benevolence. This weekly stewardship ministry involves dedicated and trustworthy parishioners devoted to counting all donations, verifying, recording and depositing all monetary donations. Please call the Parish Office

International Festival Committee

This ministry calls for those who have lots of ideas and a lot of energy. Please call the Parish Office

Youth Group

This ministry meets every Tuesday in the office basement from , 7-9 pm. They gather together to talk about how to persevere in the love in God.

Adultos y Niños que les gustaría ayudar en las celebraciones litúrgicas.

Ministros de la Eucaristía

Personas que ayuden al sacerdote a distribuir el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo durante la Misa, así como llevar la comunión a los enfermos de nuestra comunidad.

Lectores

Personas que proclamen la Palabra de Dios con a la Asamblea los domingos y días festivos.

Coro

Personas con buena voz o que sepan tocar algún instrumento para cantar en las Misas del Domingo.

R.I.C.A

Grupo de personas que ayudan a preparar jóvenes (mayores de 18 años) y adultos para recibir los sacramentos del Bautismo,Confirmación y Eucaristía.

Sacristán

Personas que disponen lo necesario para la celebración de la Misa.

Catequistas

Cursillo

Encuentro con Cristo que inicia cada tercer Martes del mes 6:30 pm

Encuentro Matrimonial Mundial

Encuentro con Cristo de una fin de semana especial para parejas o matrimonios.

Grupo de Oracion

Grupo de personas que se reunen todos los Martes para reflexionar sobre la Palabra de Dios y para hacer oración carismática.

Ministerio de Bienvenida

Personas que estan dando la bienvenida a las personas durante la Misa. Son los encargados de hacer la colecta, de llevar las ofrendas, organizar la comunión y repartir boletines al final de la misa.

Grupo de Jovenes

Grupo de Jovenes que se reunen todos los Jueves a las 7pm para reflexionar sobre el amor de Dios, y como ser mejor joven.
